If you’re taking the Paper Edition, you’ll need to review information for both at home testing and test center testing. You’ll take the Speaking section at home on your computer and the other three sections at a test center.

If your test appointment is canceled or rescheduled by ETS

Weather conditions, technical issues or other circumstances may cause your test appointment to be canceled or your scores to be canceled after you take the test. For information on what to do if this happens, see “Cancellation/Rescheduling of a Test Administration” in the Bulletin.

Also, make sure your contact information in your ETS account up to date, especially your phone number and email address, so we can contact you quickly if needed.

TOEFL iBT Scores

Your TOEFL iBT scores help you stand out to admissions officers and provide:

  • a true reflection of your abilities in the way they’re used in an actual classroom
  • fair and unbiased scores from a centralized scoring network, not a test center

More than 12,000 institutions in over 160 countries accept TOEFL scores. When your goal is university study, choose the test with scores that are widely accepted and preferred around the world.
